Why do you think I'm anxious?

There you have it.

Whilst I can agree with your point about Scottish literacy, I think you may be well advised to remove the log from your own eye, before tending to the speck in mine.

How does 'on the go' from your original post equate to 'being inebriated' from mine?

Unless you are drunk now, in which case, i recommend that you go and have a kebab.
My point is, that the reason why I was on the go...ah never mind. It's Friday and I don't want deal with this $***.

Anyhoo, back on topic...any insight, feedback..anybody else agrees/disagrees?

You are asking if that Turkish man , in the Turkish Kebab shop, has ever eaten a Turkish kebab ??

No, I'm asking whether the Kurdish man in the pseudo snack bar, has ever eaten a traditional German meal.

Re: Do you think that people who sell Kebab for a living ever ate one themselves?

That was the guy I saw the other day! Kurdish looking guy with traditional swiss outfit sitting at the snack bar eating sausage with chop stick!

I found it odd!

In Turkey, in every restaurant, they give you wet wipes after your meal. I find it very practical (not really ecological though)

But it certainly resolve to problem of dirty hands after the kebab. So maybe you could do what I do and always carry some wet wipes in your man bag?

Is kebab that rotating, sedimentary-looking, meat-on-a-stick stuff?

It's actually a dead Japanese Sumo wrestlers upper leg, with the bone removed.

Alright, here is my rant. Once in a while, when I'm on the go and I don't feel like having to wait 30min at a restaurant for a healthy Swiss standard Menu A, B or C (Rösti with Bratwurst, Cordon Bleu or some pseudo Pasta or if it's Friday, Fishknusperli).....I'll go and have me a Kebab. I assume that most of you order it with lots of sauce as well. The thing that gets me, the shopkeeper only includes 1...as in ONE of those smallish, cheapo tissues that are not all that effective...and if you ask for more tissues and they hand you another 2. All combined, they're about as effective as a plastic bag. I honestly don't think, that anybody who ever sold a Kebab in Switzerland ever ate one themselves. There, I've said it...rant over.
amateurs.

Most people selling Kebabs are either Arabs or Turks, and their mothers would beat them to pulp would they eat that "Swissified" stuff instead of the good old fashioned product their mothers bring on the table. With lots of really hot sauces combined with things like Harissa and Ras-al-Hanut and onions and garlic. Having been prepared for many hours

Save your money. It's impossible to eat a kebab with any kind of dignity

no problem in a decent Arab or Turkish restaurant (above the Sultan, and below the Cèdre

and here the Bodrum Rüschlikon

These restaurants not just offer far more comfort, but their various Kebab specialities are the real
thing of excellent quality. Eating there may be a bit more expensive than in those fastfood outlets
you possibly have in mind, sure.

Wolli, that napkin is going to cost you at least 100fr there with all the food and drinks...

I don't care if kebab comes with or without napkin, as long as it comes. We had three kebab joints in town when we moved here, now there is none.

What's up with that..

Great to read about the background, anything near Plainpallais? We just back from the flee market and decent kebab would hit the spot, instead of the 6fr sloppy drinks.
