Do you think that people who sell Kebab for a living ever ate one themselves?

Alright, here is my rant. Once in a while, when I'm on the go and I don't feel like having to wait 30min at a restaurant for a healthy Swiss standard Menu A, B or C (Rösti with Bratwurst, Cordon Bleu or some pseudo Pasta or if it's Friday, Fishknusperli).....I'll go and have me a Kebab. I assume that most of you order it with lots of sauce as well. The thing that gets me, the shopkeeper only includes 1...as in ONE of those smallish, cheapo tissues that are not all that effective...and if you ask for more tissues and they hand you another 2. All combined, they're about as effective as a plastic bag. I honestly don't think, that anybody who ever sold a Kebab in Switzerland ever ate one themselves. There, I've said it...rant over.

They are just pro at it... They can eat it with eyes close and hands in their back without a single drop of the sandwich condiments.

Pros, I am telling you!

Tip - Hold it horizontally when eating it. That stops all the sauce running to the bottom, which in my experience is the messiest part to eat.

All the time

Whenever I get to munch on a badly packed kebab, I gorge on the inside and use the outside to wipe my lips clean of sauce.

Ah yes, the English table manners I've been hearing so much about....but seriously, am I the only one having this issue?

I always get the ones rolled up in a Fladenbrot, far less messy.

As for kebab sellers eating them themselves, I can confirm they do. One of my daughter's classmate's Dad runs a 'bab shop and provided the mutton deliciousness for birthday party food. I was f'kin raging I missed out.

You are meant to have a kebab after a good drinking seesion. You know you need a kebab when this happens...

Note the mans regal poise as he enters the store. This is a man on a mission. Just a few more cold ones to wash down the Kebab from next door....must get Kebab...

Not when you stick it, half eaten, in your shirt pocket for later.

You'd be lucky to get any home seeing as your preferred method of eating is to throw it all on the floor

I buy it, take it home, microwave it and flip on the plate. Don't wanna give pedantic and clinical Swiss another argument "how these messy furners have no manners with sauce spilling all over heir sleeves"!

Not so sure, he spent the first half of the post justifying his kebab.

On the other hand, in spite of the fact that he cleans his floors 3 times a week or more, he doesn't carry a pack of tissues with him.

I'm so confused.

Well, that's the American in me....I expect an establishment to have adequate tissues. (I do carry hand sanitizer though )
