Samsung used 12V where does Capacitor are connected. Going up to 25 v solves the issue but I do not know whta other implications it might take as I don't know which Cxxxx on the PCB are the ones blowing out.

Little known fact, those marks on top of the capacitors are the QA girls marking any missing components.
It's 10v replace with 16v
16v replace with 25v (the fix)

Heres a nice vid on the subject and what you're looking for.

There are no implications, just gives a little more overhead. I dont know why Samsung would scrimp on a component that costs 2chf a piece, it's pointless unless they wanted to make some cash in warranties and servicing costs.

I missed the word bus, on my sentence samsung uses a 12v bus. So 10 v are bound to blow out sometimes. I guess there could be no implications but without the layout of the board I can't say. After all it IS assembled on the Power board so who knows..

when I was at school it was still 'old' topgear, that had the boring guy with the beard actually reviewing boring cars, and talking about smooth gear changes etc, not a clarkson in sight.

As someone said a known issue, probably due to Samsung using poor capacitors on the power board, fortunately a simple fix for those with mediocre electronics skills, 10 chf in capacitors and a soldering iron is all you'll need..Don't get caught out paying hundreds of francs.

It's plastered all over the web if you google search you're bound to find a answer.
Thanks a lot for the info and the videos. I didn't go down that route since TV is still under (useless) warranty. I'll keep it in mind though since it might happen again after warranty ends.
