Re: Gender roles in Switzerland

Feminist is not synonym to brainless tom girl/lesbian that hates men. A Feminist is (amog other things) someone who is fighting for the same chances for both men and women. Keeping in the construction example, feminists would be trying to make it possible for a woman to apply as a construction worker and being accepted/ denied according to her work quality and physical possibilities, other than her gender. There are tough, well built women out there that can do heavy work as good as any physically equal man. The whole problem is accepting that these women can actually do it, even though their sexual organs don't dangle.

Women and men are not physically equal in general terms, but there is a spectrum where both match. This spectrum should have the same chances. I am happy to see in Switzerland these chances actually exist!

Re: Gender roles in Switzerland

And yet my experience working with high end investors is that the richer they are the less they are bothered about status symbols. One of our wealthiest investors used to visit us in a rumpled suit and had a cheapo watch. Nice as pie and down to earth with absolutely nothing to prove.

It's the arsey little middle managers who spend up to the hilt on luxury sports cars with the latest Rolex strapped to their wrists.

I have to ask who has the taste then?
Completely agree, same observation here. Wonder whether it's the question of taste or self-confidence (and hopefully not over-confidence)
