They steal your goodies, take your money, sell what they can, and then go buy their X, coke, marijuana, heroin, speed, meth, and Neosporin. | | | | | You missed the biggest draw of them all. Lemsip.

I know an Iranian guy who now has a name like Rudi Schudel, seems to work, his Schwiitzer accent is flawless.

Hopefully someone else in the family took some pics.

These guys get in and out as quick as they can. And run off.
I'm just lucky i wasn't sitting there. But I would have SCREAMED, if i had been.
Basta now, it was done and now I close my windows.
Which makes me sad. | | | | | The "drugs are last season" really made me laugh. However, this brings a good point, that lucky you were not home. Also, I am glad your kitty wasn't hurt. You never know if someone can burgle you, what else they are capable of. I don't care what the laws are, if someone crept into my house I would have no problem smacking them with a fry pan to the face! |

| | Re: I got burgled on Saturday | Quote: | | | | Good, glad we cleared that up.
Most criminals and people in jail are foreign. Opening borders hasn't really affected that too much.
Next. | | | | | About "Most criminals and people in jail are foreign"
Glad you got that right.
Too many people say most crimes are committed by foreigners without a good solid basis for this statement.
The statistics only prove that most people caught are foreigners. |

Why do you thing that Denmark reintroduced the checks at the borders (cancelled temporary the Schengen agreement) because of increase in violent crime. And we talk here about the German and Swedish borders to Denmark.
What should do CH (or Ticino) which share borders with Italy, a bankrupt country which borders directly with the Magreb Countries (Lampedusa, etc)?
Anyway for me the post is clear. Security in CH, especially in borders cantons, got worse and worse in the last years, but beeing Bern in the middle of the country the 7 gods don't see it yet. |

even if you have control at the borders it is still VERY easy to get into Switzerland...and police can't not stop anyone who is not warranted...
I live in a border canton and I am yet to hear anything...
I hear of no criminal activities committed by non-us-canada-japanese-european...
Italy has borders to north african countries???? where?
Anyway, people coming from "non-schengen" countries must show their passport at the border...

Not Germans of Swedes, but people living especially in Germany, going to DK to commit a crime and coming back to D. The Schengen Borders are out of control. Anybody can enter Schengen without any problems you can buy a Schengen visa from many embassy of members states worldwide. What do you think is a salary of a Greek visa office nowaday? Or a polish?
even if you have control at the borders it is still VERY easy to get into Switzerland...and police can't not stop anyone who is not warranted... it is true but with checks at the borders I feel safer and many criminals would think twice before crossing with weapons. Teen 100% security is impossible, of course, but why lift the dog looking after your house?

I hear of no criminal activities committed by non-us-canada-japanese-european... but your canton doesn't have borders with Italy... where all the problems come from... or the Geneva region, as was the topic of this thread.

Anyway, people coming from "non-schengen" countries must show their passport at the border... Have you ever heard of Lampedusa? And how many illegals are coming in desperate boats to Italy? Italian officers show them the Swiss and the French border in Chiasso or Ventimiglia and encourage them to cross. Most of them want to go away from Italy and join family members in France, Switzerland and Germany.
you must the worse troll ever | | | | | I am a Swiss citizen that sees his country getting worse for security (not only security) and I still want to enjoy my freedom without being locked at home like in many other places in Europe where the situation is out of control. I visited 87 countries for business and I know the pearl which is Switzerland and want to avoid that we loose our prosperity, which I am very glad to share with foreigners of all origins, but only if they follow the rules. | The following 5 users would like to thank Simon73 for this useful post: | |

The border guards will be simply instructed to prevent any entry to people who are carrying large bags labelled "SWAG".
Or how do you see this working?
Or to put it another way, how/why do you think border guards will be better at identifying criminals then the police?

You ever wonder why? Banking you say? Switzerland has no issues hosting money from North African dictators...what did you say? - "Selber schuld?"
Yes foreigners should follow the rules & Swiss should follow the rules...what's your point?
Whenever financial crisis emerge there will be issues...not much you can do about it, and Switzerland and other less "impacted" countries will be effected...closing the borders will NOT help...criminals will always be one step ahead...

you must the worse troll ever | | | | | Yeah you're far from being fair here!
The guy mentionned LAMPEDUSA (Lampedusa is around 205 km from Sicily and 130 kilometers from Tunisia):
approximately 4,500 people live permanently on Lampedusa. In 2005 it already had over 20 000 illegal immigrants on the island...
Saying that it's not a "border" (which is true) just to pretend nothing is happening there is quite lame.
The guy has a point, without control, there has been lot and lot of abuses.
Now if you have nothing against numerous numbers of illegal migrants who will ignore local laws, etc, etc... .(I doubt they have in their pocket and read the "local book of law"), then I suggest we welcome some of the 1,210,193,422 officially registered people of India.
Maybe let's integrate them to the Canton de Vaud, where the available flat rate is 0.5%. Housing crisis: it is still a disaster
SHORTAGE | The housing crisis still live in the canton of Vaud. The apartment vacancy rate remains at 0.5% even though more items have been placed on the market....
