We had a thread on "Backwards Switzerland" or something similar and it went on for ever.

I was going to say the same thing. As a writter you need skills in research too, so you should use it.

The forum will give you more than what you ever dreamed of, so look around.

i suggest you read a book called " the xenophobes guide to the swiss" it will tell you everything

I think everything that needs to be said has now been said. This site is for English speaking people to find their way around this country, to learn about its odd laws and the thousand 'rules' which not even the Swiss are conscious of - until we break them.

There is enough info on this forum for several theses on the subject. Good luck.
