Which Sheep does he mean?

Translation: The president of the SVP wants to expel any foreigners who commit a crime in Switzerland. These foreigners he calls black sheep ( Schwarze Schafe). What sort of a stupid racist attack is that?

That might be so but the statement is from today.

True but I think "everyone" knows about SVP and the thing they have with sheep. So, moot point IMO.

Yes maybe Brunner thinks of himself as a Shepherd

Why don't EF forum members who are fed up of racism got together and tried to change things politically. Switzerland is a free country-you have the right to free speech and public demonstration. there is an organization that you can join- I already provided links. Otherwise you can form your own.

Im wasn't aware that criminals were a race.
I wasn't aware that foreigners were a race.
I wasn't aware that criminal foreigners were a race.

So if I'm against racism, why should I be against expelling criminal foreigners?

Or is it just that everything we don't like is automatically racist?

I think if the EFers formed their own political party it would just make it easier for SVP to herd us all up (and out on the next cargo train). ;)

I think its obvious that Brunner is indirectly pointing his finger at dark skinned people.

Switzerland paying some expats loads of money doesn't mean we close our eyes and shut up our mouths on obvious racism, some people need to be objective a bit and forget about their bank accounts.

Criminals foreigners expelled ....Yes.
Calling a someone black is totally different story.

For me, it's one word....screw the SVP and everyone supporting them big time and i don't really mind packing and leaving immediately now if this is what Switzerland is

Nonsense, it's just an expression, as it is in English.

Are you blind- have you seen the posters? How much clearer can that be?
I am absolutely sure you are not that naive.

Then you don't understand the " psychology " of the SVP campaign.

Re: Which Sheep does he mean?

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but we had a vote here last year and Brunner's argument is aimed at Bundesrat Sommaruga's seeming inability to initiate the legal process in writing the articles into law.

Sorry, no need to debate this again here, nothing to see, let's all move on and keep a smile. It's Swiss democracy working.

If you'd care to read the SVP's gripe, it's here.

The issue is whether one chooses to feed it though.

Ignore it and it's as good as dead then they have to spend more time and money trying to figure out the next fire-cracker of a campaign to outrage these people.

This image is truly shocking...the overtones of racism are not even a little subtle. Even if "black sheep" is an expression, no one can ignore the visual impact of such a display.
