Shhhhhh, don't tell the OP!!!! Joos doesn't actually start work as boss there 'til next month, it's still Hansüli for now
You're right....keep it quiet....or this thread will start all over again!!

On the other hand, it might be the first thing he tackles when he does start. This might be the appropriate point to start a rumour in the checkout aisles that cashiers are going to be required to bag as well!

I have a husband, a child, 2 dogs and a cat.
Tip - Leave the dogs and cat at home when you go shopping.

If you can leave the hubby and child there too, then all the better.

Re: Dear Joos.....

I feel guilty for suggesting "Internet Shopping" as I am pretty sure that is has been mentioned somewhere in the 15 odd pages of this riveting saga!

Isn't that the truth! I really miss the bag-boys at Publix in the USA.

I have a husband, a child, 2 dogs and a cat. Try to pack all those groceries in a tiny cart. AND, for the life of me can't get these Swiss grocery carts to drive straight! Anyone else have a problem with that?
How about going once a week rather than once a month?

HTH

snipped....

Just be careful with your amounts when crossing the border - kids get the same allowance as adults bar booze and cigs (IIRC).

If you're unhappy, leave the store at any time).
Oh yes, shopping over the border ..... over Sfr300 and you gotta pay the swiss tax or be fined .... if you get caught. And if you get caught more than once you gonna be in big trouble ...... they gonna take down all your details! ... and maybe you will get deported!

But I forget ..... tis Coop that is graced. Not Aldi/Lidl.

I think everybody is missing the obvious solution here. With 600CHF for a weekly food budget...

I don't know why the OP doesn't just take the basket home, like what they do in London:

I think it's jolly decent of him to do the shopping for his mum.

Unlike the other lazy looters who phoned up their mum to pick them up by car as they were too tired to carry home the plasma TV.

And she did collect them - bless her!

Just a point while you get your Caps Lock unstuck , have you ever tried to eat out with two very young kids. I have and it actually put me off having kids for the rest of all eternity.

Otherwise, a great solution and good out of the box thinking!

Have you tried riding a unicycle while carrying 600 chuffs of shopping?

That is like trying to pack 600 euros worth of shopping in a van

I would suspect that would very much depend on where you were buying your Euros or CHFs shopping right now, or in five minutes time, or gods forbid, on Friday. It could be train loads by Friday.

But dont you know, you never watch your own kids when eating out, that's the restaurant's job!

For all you sensitives out there, that's a joke. I'm strictly Pro Parenting

Shhhhh, you will figure out that I am not. Most all of the groans against me are about my ability to complain about people breeding or the results of people breeding.
