Apple ID password

Every frickin' time. Every frickin' time I log onto the Apple Apps Store, they make me reset my password for security reasons.

If I have to reset my Apple ID password one more time, I'm gonna flip out. *I* can remember my password, Steve Jobs.

Why the hell can't you?!?

(Yes, yes, I understand that this is most likely because I have a US address listed and am accessing the site from a CH IP address. But it's still bloody annoying.)

Perhaps someone else out there is brute-forcing your account, or they spot access attempts from multiple geo-ip locations ?

I suspect it's the second rather than first - my account profile holds a US address, but I habitually access the site from Switzerland. This is the first time they've actually made me change my password rather than just reset it (meaning they send me an email confirmation, which I then have to click, but keep the same password).

To add insult to injury, they send me to iForget to change my passwords. Which is rubbing salt in the wound, because it wasn't me who forgot!

Re: Apple ID password

Not sure about the IP address thing....I flip between my US one (with my old US address but funded with iTunes cards) and my UK one all the time with no issues. I use the same password for both and the user id for the US one is in the form "TT10@gmail.com" and the id for the UK one is just "TT10". Definitely log a call (or e-mail). I've had to do so in the past and told them I had two accounts and they didn't seem to mind. The person that helped me was very useful and even followed up a couple weeks later to make sure everything was working fine.

That's two different Apple id's probably used from the same location which associates the same IP with both addresses. This is more related to two or more IP's showing up for the same Apple id.
