I definitely have issues with guys wearing tights, or spandex or whatever. But I think that's just my North American upbringing. It just looks wrong to me and unnecessary.
Leggings are ok if they're 3/4s, they make the legs look awful when they're ankle length.
....and you've got to have really fine legs to carry them off. Leggings are totally unforgiving as the slightest physical default will show.

I actually think that they can look great on ladies with non thin and perfect legs too. I think the secret, as you have shown here, is to get the balance right, ie, leggings not too long worn with a top mid thigh length.

OK, back to leggings. Here we live in cross country skiing heaven and the guys wear very tight lycra leggings style all in ones. Their legs go on forever and they have extremely long thigh muscles and very tight bums - a joy to watch them overtake me.

Well, I like discussing fashion trends with my female friends: it makes me feel very feminine. It has nothing to do with being judgmental or offensive. We are allowed to say what kind of styles and trends we like, aren’t we?
As for the leggins trend, I wouldn’t be seen dead in them. That said, Sky has somehow managed to find a great-looking photo. Here’s a gallery showing how not to wear leggins, though.
