Waiting for my train this week, I witnessed an all-in Stadelhofen dog-brawl involving 5 sizable mutts. One of the punks even got knocked over and trampled under... paw.

The alpha-punk broke the dogs apart by pouring water on them, then kicked one, screamed at it while it licked its wounds, dragged another full-grown dog around by the folds of the fur on its neck and back, with it yelping with pain.

Is this normal punk behaviour?

I have commuted past Stadelhofen for more than a year now, but admittedly never noticed the punks until this spring. Does anyone know:
a) where they come from (many seem to have northern German accents)
b) where they stay during winter?
c) why they all have dogs?

well, there was a news report in the usual commuter tabloids saying that german punks come/came over as here is more cash to be made begging.
was last year or even 2 years ago. but i dunno where the rest (hanging out tram station hb or on the small fountain opposite coop provisorium, speaking swiss german) come from...all over ch i guess...rumour has it that in germany you get extra cash for dog food from welfare. dunno if thats a myth?
i believe them punks stays in squats maybe...or at the mission...

I think a visit from the EF elevated equine society to show these people how to look after dogs is in order.

This is project of Sozialwerk Pfarrer Sieber, aiming to provide veterinary medicine, advice, and help with animal care to those 'at the edges of society'. I hadn't heard of this project before, although I do know of, and admire, the work Pfarrer Sieber and his foundation do.

I would like to add few wierd things of these punks. Some of em got blue hair half head saved and wierd dressups with wierd tatoos and wierd piercings. Surprisngly, even there dogs are punk with saved hair at some part of their body and most of em has black scaff on their neck...lol ha ha ha...these punks...sorry to write it so unofficially. stilll....bu ha ha ha hahaha

Police has repeatedly investigated about the dogs of the punks. The result was, that with some bad exceptions, most of those dogs were treated well. As a police-spokesman said, "we would be happy if all dogs were treated as well, and if the punks looked for themselves as well as they look for their dogs". I have often come accross either of their places and have never seen such scenes. Where they are from ? From all over CH but also from all over Germany and Austria.

Judging from the accent I'd say the majority is German, Berlin maybe?
Since one of the punks at Bahnhofsbrücke complimented me on my (smelly, old, noisy) motorbike I have mentally reconciled with them and don't mind them at all.

people from Berlin are not reputed for speaking Schwiizertüütsch but many chaps from Berlin may be around in those places. But whatever, they alltogether are not so lousy chaps in reality.
