Re: Stolen Bike (from the building not the street) then sold and bought online

Hi CorsebouTheReturn,

It might be a nice gesture to remove your original groan - now that you know the full situation.

To the OP, you need to make sure the police have all the information, and make sure they actually follow up on the case.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi,
Ok, I feel sorry for your difficult situation, and I understand your difficulties.
Fair enough, it's not easy when you don't speak the local language, yet.

Hm, don't hesitate to add any infos to the police report, in the meantime don't forget the fax to Ricardo. It's not easy to be a victim but you're now going to be the one using legal system to catch the guy.

About the guy:
Whoever he is (thief, partner, etc...) he looks... dodgy and dangerous. So it's quite better if you don't confront him (obviously, you already identified that...).

Hm, if anything occurs such as intimidation, etc...don't let yourself be scared off, the police, ultimately will do something.

Hm I don't know what to suggest anymore, maybe meet locals EnglishForumers for assistance in case the nutter causes you troubles?

You need solutions, police's already on your side!

How about the buyer, can you pretend to sell him an item or use friend ricardo account to contact him. When you know his residence, call police and confront him.

Do you have "proof of purchase" or old pictures or anything? For example if it's US bike... Anyway the guy won't have any beside Ricardo and you have the "police report".
Don't hesitate, if you are 100% it's your bike, to confront him, take the bike off their hands, and call police to come to the action scene immediately!!

Now you all understand this tough situation please remove your groans.

In my opinion they weren't necessary as neither his story nor his actions infringed on anyone else here, or indeed any honest person.

He might have done it better, but he doesn't deserve one groan.

Re: Stolen Bike (from the building not the street) then sold and bought online

Ok so I really feel for you OP, hopefully you will be able to sort thigns out, better to stay away from the guy in ricardo as he looks like a nutcase but you do have to complain to the ricardo team...they will consider this and then he will probably be banned from selling stuff in ricardo after that

And to make a short story long,

This is his website, doesn't seem to be working
http://www.ozcankivrak.beepworld.de/

Some more pics for you to admire-
https://picasaweb.google.com/107719355087923066194/OzcanKivrak
Here,in the above link, he has a map with a 'baloon' showing his address.
That baloon only indicates 'BASEL' ,it has nothing to do with his exact address.
Also, note these pics were uploaded by him in December 2010.

Here is his Google profile

and here's where you see his address!!

Of course, It's possible he's moved out of there.
Try and find out before you throw a grenade through his window.
Send a friend to look for his name on the door of his building.

Also, you could make a temporary ,new ,fake ,facebook profile,(make sure your pic has decent sized boobs)[don't overdo it] and add him on facebook, he might have his address and mobile number displayed in his 'info' page, which only added 'friends' can see.

dON'T KNOW WHY THE ABOVE HAS COME UNDERLINED,UNABLE TO UNDO IT.

Hey McClane, why don't you go and recover the bike while you're at it. That would be nothing compared to what I saw you do on tv ;-)

Don't play police, you just might get to meet the perp, and/or his friends a little unexpectedly. The police don't like it either. Just keep pestering the police in a friendly and calm manner with every detail you come across. If you want to get creative, tell the police your dearest beloved grandfather gave you the bike the day before he died and you have an enormous personal attachment to that bike. Take along a dreamy blue-eyed chic with big tits to translate for you.

So were this guy to google his name and this thread comes up with his address included, I wouldn't want to be the disgruntled bike theft victim that started this thread, especially if I had plans to routinely pester/remind the police to go after him.

This won't work, because every bike thief worth their salt knows that all they need to do, is stick the bicycle into the bicycle sized microwave to destroy the RFID signal.

PS that bloke looks like a right nutter. Friend request sent .
LOL.....would love to see the sparks produced from putting a metal bicycle in a microwave big enough to fit it!

Dear Herr ÖZCAN KIVRAK,

Nice weather isn't it? Such lovely evenings with cool breeze and not too humid. Have you seen the film "The Bicycle Thief"? It's quite an old film but still a classic. Just thought it might be the sort of film you might enjoy. I'm not sure if it will be showing anywhere near Basel soon but it would be an ideal film for an open air screening. Everyone could come on their bicycles and just leave them lying around on the grass, with no fear of some scum bag stealing them. Anyway, must dash.....I'm meeting up with some of my police friends who live in the same building as me at the Street Parade today. They have been watching the riots in Britain on television and are very worked up. I have been having a hard time calming them down as they just want to go out and bash some criminal heads in. Very un-Swiss don't you think? I pity the fool who messes with them anytime in the next 20 years.

TTFN

The Terminator.

P.S.......Give my regards to Borat next time you see him.

Re: Stolen Bike (from the building not the street) then sold and bought online

Just love how the guy is already found guilty of stolen a bike...

It is because he looks scary? Because he is the one who sold it? Maybe he sold the bike on the behalf of someone else? Maybe, like this guy on the forum, he didn't know it was stolen ().

I do not agree of having his picture, personal informations, etc published on the forum. I think it is very wrong indeed.

As long as the guy is not found guilty by the real autorities, he is innocent.

He may have been sitting washing his own bike when a chap approached him, seeing his interest in two wheeled pedular transport, and offered him the bike to resell for a quick profit.

I can't believe what I have seen on this thread...personal info, pictures, address for a guy you don't know anything of, you don't have any proof he is guilty of stealing the bike...only because he looks "dangerous"........
