Accused!

I parked my car in our underground parking one night (I have been doing so for the last 3 years with no problems) and the following day I went down to the garage to find my car had rolled out of it's space and was halfway into the passage.

There was a note on my car which read 'Who do you think you are!?' This made me so angry and sad - what did they think that I had just driven home one night and not been bothered to manoeuvre into my parking spot and left it half hanging out!?

Though I know their reaction says more about the people writing the note then it says about me it still irritated me.

So you mean someone rolled it out? Or you left the handbrake off?

Maybe try to turn this into an opportunity and really take time to answer the question. Won't be easy...

Re: Accused!

At the bottom of the note write,

"Have you got a f...in' problem?"

Then stick it on the wall of the car park.

Cheers,
Nick

Nah....at the bottom of the note write: "Just another serial killer....why?" and stick it in an obvious place.

Maybe you should write on the note "I do not know, who do you think you are?"

.
Yes. That was a potentially dangerous thing that happened and I might have reacted the same way.

Instead of getting mad at the author of the note, be grateful that's the only consequence of your "loose" car.

Here we go again, another one of those who think the handbrakes have better use when they're disengaged!

Or did you think the handbrake would seize up because of the cold August weather?

Our mountain car (the one that lives at the mountain house and is used for carry the garbage and building supplies) is regularly parked (on the flat parking space) with the handbrake ON and it in gear.

There is always an alarming clunk the first time I pull away!

The Swiss way is just to leave the car in gear

count yourself lucky. I parked my car with the handbrake on in Tottenham last weekend came back on monday and found it had been torched and was on bricks because the tyres had been nicked.

Reply honestly. Invite the agrieved party for a beer. Relax in the knowledge you won't get a reply and fellow neighbours will think "There's a decent fellow".
