Hi,
If you know the interview location and the name of the company you can search on local.ch.
Hope I could be of help.
Best regards,
Arigato

Was it through a website where you applied, or a newspaper or a networking site? If so perhaps you can google her.

When I say 'interview forgotten', I didn't mean it was me who forgot | | | | | | Quote: | | | | | We discussed the job and then agreed to meet and it was at this point that she said she would send me the details (she didn't). I think you need to put this down to experience and learn from it.

Actually this is not necessarily the OP's fault - in my case I was in email contact with someone about a position and we were at the point of setting up an interview, when the correspondence stopped...I eventually got an email about a/the(?) position a year later when I was nicely settled in my new job. So OP, you may hear something yet, just don't hold your breath |

I agree, I have heard so many times you won't hear back, even despite arrangemens or promises. Same with appartments. So I wouldn't grill poor OP, or at least not sooooo heavily, cmon. Chances are, and pretty good ones, that even if she did check back with them, they would still be...like...whaaaa

You never know- she might ring back to ask why you didn't attend.
Anyway- make sure you have a diary size notebook to make careful notes of who is who from now on- and make sure you ask who is who, where, when, etc- for any contact. Bonne chance.

| | Re: Invited for an interview and then forgotten | Quote: | | | | | I received a phone call for a job interview and we had a good talk. The lady said that she would e-mail me a confirmation for an interview. She never did, and of course, I didn't save her number on my phone! Long story short, the interview was supposed to be, well, NOW, and I have no way of contacting her and she has not contacted me either so I'm assuming she has just completely forgotten about it. Great! | | | | | don't want to sound negative, but if they would be interested they would not forget. See it on the bright side, do you want to work for a company treating people like that... | The following 3 users would like to thank OSueco for this useful post: | |

I sometime get these kind of calls discussing details and even telling me the name of the client, then they say they will email details, if they don't i don't even care to call back cause if they cannot do their job in the first place i don't assume they will be so efficient landing me a good job.
I don't really blame the OP, she was told to expect an email, so if she didn't, either the agent wasn't really convinced by her answers or the agent is just a lazzy a**.....in both cases, she would have been a loser if she called back.
Unless it's determined in the call that there's time, date, location and requirements, i don't really see anything wrong with the OP not taking notes....so i guess everyone should just back off on slating her....she gave the situation what it deserves, just a chat over the phone with someone she doesn't know and nothing solid whatsoever.

Wow. A lot of crankypants got up on the wrong side of bed today. Must be some sort of Swiss German ritual or something: the annual end of summer blood letting and leech fesitval.

Interesting that so many have read this as 'I forgot about the interview' instead of 'Moron recruiter never sent me details about the interview'.....and then saying how they wouldn't ever hire her. | This user would like to thank phdoofus for this useful post: | |

But I don't think that the majority thought either of the things you wrote....but many thought "How come you have an offer of an interview and don't write ONE detail down?" as she didn't know the name of the company or the name of the person because she wants a job in the French part but "isn't good at French names". I think sympathy would have been higher if she had at least something to go on.
