Well, personally I was very unsure that it was genuine. But I don't think that the majority thought either of the things you wrote....but many thought "How come you have an offer of an interview and don't write ONE detail down?" as she didn't know the name of the company or the name of the person because she wants a job in the French part but "isn't good at French names". I think sympathy would have been higher if she had at least something to go on.
You still got a little blood on your lip, there. No, the other side.

I received a phone call for a job interview and we had a good talk. The lady said that she would e-mail me a confirmation for an interview. She never did, and of course, I didn't save her number on my phone! Long story short, the interview was supposed to be, well, NOW, and I have no way of contacting her and she has not contacted me either so I'm assuming she has just completely forgotten about it. Great!
...there's a lesson in there somewhere... I wonder what it could be

As you are French and were applying to a French company, this seems to be a major problem.

I think you need to put this down to experience and learn from it.
Wow people assume a lot here! I have an EU passport but I'm not French, and I was applying for an English speaking job...

That field is for 'where are you from', not 'what is your nationality'...

And the field that says "Foreign Languages - French" means what?

Wrong. The box says 'Nationality'.

I once lost out on a job because I had omitted to tick a box to confirm that I had a driving licence. I learnt from that.

People make decisions on the information that you provide. We are not mindreaders.

It says both:

Where are you from?

Re: Invited for an interview and then forgotten

Not a criticism at all but your profile is indeed confusing. Most people who come from France will speak French fluently.
Personally when listing languages spoken I think it is best to be accurate.
To my, a language listed as a Foreign language means near fluent, unless specified.

Anyway - irrelevant now. Onwards and forwards- bonne chance.
