Re: Laundry room

well 60 years ago the swiss washed once a week if lucky. No showers and lucky to have hot water. And with these mean money hungry landlords here what can you expect.

Oh, it gets better. As it's a newer build it's often too humid rather than too dry. The lease also says we have to open the windows daily for at least 5 mins.

No, they don't check regularly, but they do have a peek a few times a year, ostensibly to check the heating and stuff.
Depends on your flat,my flat is in a passive house (Minergy standard) , you don't have to open the window at all(even in summer , it stays cool, if you are blocking the sun out). Much better for getting sleep in the hot summer, then living in an old stlye flat. The flat got a heating system under the floor as well.
And i got my own washing machine and dryler in my flat as well, i can wash my clothes ,when i like to do(or need to do) that.

Re: Laundry room

Oh, yes!!

The good old days, when we went down to the river and bashed our clothes against the rocks!!

I thought everyone used a basket to take their clothes out of the machine. Common sense.

I dry my stuff in my apartment, no mold. Beside the heater, they are dry very quickly. If need be, why not go to the launderette?
