What is it about me

that get's me stopped at the Jestetten border all the time????

This time it was about 1 km after the border, in Neuhausen. A whole bunch of cars, the people in front of me also stopped at the border to get their form stamped and they were waved through but not me of course.

First few times it happened I thought it was because of the Dutch plates but now I am thinking an all black American minivan with tinted windows has something to do with it (oh and the fact doors and hutch open and close automatically, they seem to dig that)

Re: What is it about me

dutch plates would do it. do you try the reverse psychology by winding down the windows and start to hand out your passport? they normally wave you through when you do this

The customs dudes probably get so many dull to embarrassing category candidates that they hold "average" in high esteem.

Usual tricks to drive through customs untouched, are the perfect family picture with 2.26 kids, no sunglasses, turn music off, no dark windows and ordinary looking. Failing those, just sequence yourself behind someone with out of area license plates with stuff piled up to the back window.

Er, no, not at Jestetten or Konstanz, where they target exactly the sort of folks you describe if their car has Swiss plates from AG, ZH, SH, TG or SG - they're likely to have stocked up on nappies, child clothes and meat and may even have (gasp!) their tyres changed.

I've found driving through customs with a segment of child often attracts attention.

Is anybody near any of the EF women right now?? Are any of them muttering bad words or sending PMs to each other?? Or maybe scanning acceptance lists of social events?

PS....was Daphne from Scooby Doo based on you?

Re: What is it about me

isnt it funny that even though you know you didnt nothing wrong, they still make you nervous....

Id say it is the dutch plates. everytime with foreign plates I got stopped(10+x), with the Swiss ones 1x.

I always take off the sunnies, music down , window down and get waved through everytime

You are obviously stunningly beautiful, but you must be mightily thick if you can't understand why you're being stopped.
