It's not just for my benefit then. I thought all the passers by were being incredibly considerate and reminding of the chavs back in North Yorkshire, with their ridiculously modified fiesta's and their laughable choice in music |

It's always about getting attention...
Where I came from, there's what we call "Boom Cars" where the drivers put some kick-ass speakers in their expensively pimped-out cars and they play the loud music to show it off. I thought that was silly back then but now I hear loud music being played on a regular stereo.... |

Many car manufacturers now offer excellent sound systems with powerful several hundred watt amplifiers that are fully integrated into the car and can be ordered as an option. So even if you drive an unpimped boring car you can visit clients with you can still turn it up if you feel like it. |

It's not so much the noise, its the shite they belt out.
80's crap I haven't heard in 25 years (usually Phil collins, Foreigner, US power ballards), Swiss schlager, or some dance music that wouldn't make a record shop bargain bin in the UK or US. WTF is with Swiss "dance" music anyway?
Radio stations make the situation worse. All Swiss DJ's should be lined up and shot.
If you want pimp music play Curtis Mayfield, these guys need a music education.

I know it’s Complaints Corner, but when I was jogging yesterday an elderly gentleman passed me in an oldtimer cabrio playing some oldies music. I thought I was dreaming. It was lovely.

We used to have that old dude in his red Viper doing it in downtown the city I come from. He would spend the whole afternoon driving down the same main street, over and over again on a very slow speed to make sure e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e will hear AND see him. |

But why do they never have any musical taste? You never see some cool kids driving down the street in their heavily stickered and spoilered 1992 Opel Astra playing something other than DJ Bobo... |

Apologies for bumping my own thread, but another 'rowdy' car just passed our house - it's nearly midnight........shocking ('should be in bed you old fart' - yes I know I should be).
Come to think of it, it may have been the last bus (horse and cart) lol....
