| | A controversial (?) ad
I saw a man today passing this tram stop ad, turning his head right in order to see it better and almost bumping into a lady coming from the opposite direction.
It’s a new ad portraying the Zurich airport as a place with numerous restaurants catering to everybody’s tastes.
Do you think it is appropriate? We are used to ads objectifying women, but I cringed a little when I saw it. I’m not sure what to think.

Erm...
What's wrong with it? You think they're wearing too much? In which case, I agree.

| | Re: A controversial (?) ad ........... controversial..? In what way, exactly, please?
Perhaps ... just plates of food should be in the ad?
Then people will not look. Who is going to stop and stare at an advert of plates of food ....? People may think you`re just hungry and cannot afford such nice food. ... like you`re drooling over the pictures of food.
Better to drool over some nice looking legs underneath the plates of food?
Oh ... it was probably designed by the same company the SVP use ....?

But I don't think it's objectifying women. Most stewardesses... wait... flight attendants... are female (I actually get confused when it's a guy asking me what I would like to drink). I guess the poster is just trying to make a link between inside plane/ inside airport by using female flight attendants styled girls.
But yes, I think would have been more effective on me if it would be prettier male models hihihi | This user would like to thank Helm for this useful post: | |

WTF does 'not hit' mean? Erm.
Maybe they're targeting their Zurich market by dressing the Stews in decade appropriate costumes. I'd bet the Herr Drapers around here would be impressed by that ad. Ah, back to the days when flying was a bit less like boarding a Greyhound bus.

OMG, my thread has been moved from Off-topic to Complaints Corner. I’ll be burnt at the stake now.
I’m really not sure I wanted to complain.
