Re: Does anyone else's neighbours have any late night peculiar habits..

Well if I hadn´t chosen to live there, I´d probably have had to live on the street...

The children are jumping up and down... and sometimes after 10 p.m., too. I only talked to her once in the afternoon, and after what she said, I never bothered to talk to her again about the children. Still I think there should be a limit to stomping and jumping inside an apt even during the day.

Perhaps a tad controversial but

1. Why did you choose to live above restaurant???? Well, lesson learned I guess.

2. The old lady has a point. Her grandchildren are playing, during the day, she prob cherishes every moment with them so...I can understand. Not her fault you were tired. Although her complaining about you was bit off, unless you went up all guns blazing.

But hey, at least your moving soon and hopefully a peaceful environment

Re: Does anyone else's neighbours have any late night peculiar habits..

Our upstairs neighbor has three children - that are quiet all day, except the hours of 7-9 on weekends.... Its not like we can say anything, but sleeping in on the weekend is such a luxury. Just needed to vent.

Re: Does anyone else's neighbours have any late night peculiar habits..

My neighbour when we lived in a traditional semi used to start hoovering about 11pm. She was a lovely lady, and so helpful when I had baby numero uno and no family or support - but she just couldn't 'get it' that it was not acceptable- especially as husband often worked day/night/day then night off! Mind you that was in the UK!

Re: Does anyone else's neighbours have any late night peculiar habits..

Our neighbours hit a new low with me last night. I was asleep and was woken up at midnight to hear my downstairs neighbours out watering the garden with the hose pipe. He was making so much noise right outside our window, I thought it was raining then realized what he was doing.

I am putting a note in his letterbox today, Swiss style. I am so fed up with living in this apartment block. Soon moving but not soon enough.

Ours howls at night, then shouts his hatred of the world and finally shouts every possible insult through the wall...to us. As he forced his way into our home and attacked me, he is now in jail, so it is a lot quieter now!

The birds who have built a nest just above our window seem to find plenty to sing about around 5.00 a.m., w/e included...that's life in the countryside, and I'd rather have that anyday than psycho-neighbour!
