squidmonkey has no particular reputation at present
Same ol swiss bs

So we've opened a shop it happens to be at the bottom of newly built apartments in Geneva.

We have rented 2 parks at in front of our shop for our clients. The woman who seems to be the concierge decides that she will park in our clients car park. We left her a note on the windscreen so she decides to come into the shop to let us all know that she needs the park there are no other parks blah blah blah. Of course we have clients coming we paid for our parks so her parking situation is not really out problem but today during in the middle of a consultation with a high paying client she decided to barge into our office.. I want to park there your clients park in our place blah blah blah..

Re: Same ol swiss bs

Make sure that the spots are clearly marked as being for customers of your shop only.

Then have her car towed. She's unlikely to use your spot again.

As an added bonus, she's unlikely to speak to you again.

Agreed so this woman expects to use your space even though you pay for it? WTF?! yes if she asks politely in advance but it's not a automatic right.

Is it legal to buy and use wheel clamps here?

Changing the "Nür" to "Not" and a couple of other minor changes with a magic marker would make it work well in English too.

Re: Same ol swiss bs

I believe if you own the space and display a sign saying so, you can start putting fixed penalty notices on any incorrectly parked car there. You will receive around 80chf per offence, and the Gemeinde (or Betreibungsamt perhaps?) will receive around 120chf for the paperwork etc. All paid by the offender. Just make sure to take pictures.

Or you could whack all of these up, just to get your point across:

As a popular TV show from France, "Bref", would say:

"BAISE-LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

In other words, take her to the cleaners!

I saw it, and apart from the elided apostrophe (ol'), it piqued my curiosity and made me read the thread. This mod isn't going to change it.

I am a huge risk-taker; I even tear packages in other places instead of the dotted line where it says "Tear Here"

Re: Same ol swiss bs

How is this "Same ol Swiss bs??"

Surely this is "Same al arrogant twat bs?"

You'd get the same crap pretty much anywhere - it isn't country specific. It's like saying all Audi drivers are cocks - they're not - nor do all cocks drive Audis (many drive Porsches) - but you remember a number of Audis being driven badly.

Why are SUV drives such arrogant *****? They're not - but some are - and you remember the "some" because they do something work remembering.

It is the same as the old adage of needing 10 positive reviews to counter 1 negative one. You remember the bad more easily than the good. Remember that if an Audi driver lets you out at a junction.
