Re: Smokers on railway stations

Nyon station has actually re-instated limited smoking on the platforms.. Just this week they've put new "no smoking" stickers on the bins in the covered area of the platforms..
And added new ashtrays on the platform areas not covered.

Previously it was no smoking for the whole station.

There's a big sign which i couldn't read from a distance, "Bonne Nouvelle fumeurs..." or something ..

Not to mention that smokers are always getting sick and costs the employers millions! Smokers are basically unproductive at the least!

Maybe if sickness is a drain on resources, perhaps employers should look for tee-totallers, too. Or maybe only employ people who have gym memberships and don't eat fatty foods?

Rather a childish argument, if I may say.

But if you want to, let's have a go:

Gym membership is not indicative of fitness. How many people pay membership but either don't go at all or just sit in the hot tub feeling good about themselves?

How many tee-totallers are ex-alcoholics who now have have got irreparably damaged livers, or other organs?

Fatty foods are not really the problem - it's too much food, especially simple sugars.

Well, to be honest, it was about as daft a post as the one it was responding to earlier in the thread. Sometimes daft is best responded to with daft, and I wasn't really expecting someone else to put the enormous effort into a serious and highly detailed dissection.

There are plenty of people who stink but don't smoke.

Re: Smokers on railway stations

No need to put such statement in the ad. You can smell a smoker a mile a way already on the paper in their application. Simple then to just put their application in the Runde Ablage.
