im entitled to it....
awesome... | | | | | Now you're getting confused. Sandgrounder might not like it, but it wouldn't bother me, for example. It might even amuse me if you were good at it.
Go on, fill your boots...

as an opinoin differs from expression of statements. you can have an opinion, but it may not conform to the medium in where it is presented.
You are not in a public (as in community owned) place, you are in a forum owned by a company with a set of rules and regulations.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as to how and where and to whom you express it is an entirely different matter.

You're welcome to your opinion but you've got to ask yourself how you managed to form it...
And for that reason, I'm out.

Ok so lets re-evaluate what you have said | Quote: | | | | Anyone can express their opinion about anything they want (unless you live somewhere where they cart you off to an institution which will "correct" your opinion - thankfully not here in Switzerland). | | | | | | Quote: | | | | Nah. Further disagree. Everyone does have a right to an opinion (even your man in the pic) but nobody has a right to force it upon anyone else. | | | | | | Quote: | | | | I'm not the one who is using pics of Hitler, a link to a Wiki page on some extreme paedophiles then calling forum members idiots to hammer their point home

And for that reason, I'm out. | | | | | Im just using those examples to prove that your initial thesis that everyone is entitled to an opinion is incorrect.
And if you actually read what I wrote, i never called you an idiot.
I just wish you'd open your mind a bit to the point that not every idea is a good one and not every opinion deserves to be heard.

This thread is like watching a film from the 1930s. It's all in black and white, and with stilted dialogue.

it wasnt my intention to turn the thread into this, but the idea that opinions should be freely expressed should be discarded immediately.
i regret if anyone is uncomfortable reading above, but the fact is that we need to reconsider these kinds of statements and challenge them!

It is a belief. | | | | | more or less, seem to amount to the same, but a belief emcompasses a wider set of rules while an opinion overall regards a specific subject. wikipedia is your friend (In general, an opinion is a subjective belief.....)

I start liking lolcats. I'll never forgive EF for that.
By the way: I felt like an Asian tourist in front of the Cassa-Bene system at Coop this morning.
EDIT: And here a link for the people debating definitions of belief and opinion, it's meant as a starting point... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epistemology |
