| | Toucha ma car and I smasha ya face
Some silly bugger keeps on lifting up my windscreen wipers to indicate their displeasure at my parking skills Silly things like the nose of my car sticking out a little too much (err because I have to unload stuff from the boot ) or if one of my wheels is touching a painted line, really really petty stuff.
Anyway this has now happened 5 times to me and several others who use the work car park, so if I catch the jumped-up little parking Nazi who's doing this I'm going to rearrange his/her features.

just sayin' | | | | | Not to gang up on you C-man, but I'm with Grynchie. I wouldn't mess with another's car because of it, but I hate it when someone parks right on the line. It can make it hard or impossible to get out of your door, or you are forced to park on the next line so the next guy is faced with the same problems and is now cursing you.

parking spots in this country are so damn tiny to begin with if anyone encroaches on your spot a tiny bit.. as mud said the problem expands...
( and I don't think Castro is feeling the EF love at the moment )

Many years ago I had a 17 year old Volvo Estate - a mighty great thing milled from a single piece of steel - and painted in fetching Jewish Racing Gold (as it was known back in the 80s by the dealers in North London).
I used to drive into work and park in a sort of "free for all" parking area. One afternoon I left work to find my beast (complete with obligatory towbar) boxed in by 2 fairly new cars. And I mean 1" either end.
I could understand one car parking close - but 2 - next to a 17 year old Volvo Estate - honestly - are people really that stupid.
It appears they are. And there was no way I was going to wait - or attempt a 340 point exit manouvre - so instead I nudged by way out - with limited clutch control.
Old Volvos follow the old adage "Never pick a fight with an ugly bloke - they have nothing to lose."

I have no qualms giving my own car door a very forceful opening and dinging the neighboring car when they've parked on the line. I'm also known to park my own car right up next to the same line so that they can't get into their car when they come back.
I'm a bit of a bitch that way.
Parallel parking violations I'm less picky about, but when it's in a parking lot/garage and some hog makes it harder for others to use a space then I become a bit of an SVP.

How do you know it's in protest about your parking?

However Castro is parking it's still a hugely petty reaction from the windscreen wiper re-arranger. If the person works at Castro's place, why doesn't he or she approach him and any others that are deemed "untidy" parkers and mention it? It's just cowardly and childish.
Having said that, driving around around a packed car park at the swimming pool on Sunday hunting for a parking space I was hopping mad at some knobhead who obviously couldn't handle a gargantuan 4X4 and had abandoned it straddling two parking spaces with half it's arse-end hanging out onto the rest of the car park.
THAT would have deserved a damn sight more than a windscreen re-arrangement. Tosser.

Mud's gotta get out of his door to go to work, so, I've mastered the 1" clearance parking .
Mud's car- 12 year old Volvo that wears dents and scrapes exceptionally well .

I'm already fuming because I received two new door dents, one either side, on my recent visit to KFC, despite doing my best to park as far away from everyone else as possible (general distrust of French drivers, you understand).
I'm very careful not to scratch/ding others doors, and it drives me absolutely crazy when people carelessly (or deliberately) open their door into mine. As a result, I'm very careful about how I park as well.
Having said that, sometimes you arrive and find that there's only one spot left in the parking lot, with an idiot on one side or another that's taken more than his space. I'll do my best to squeeze in, and be careful not to hit your car, but if he's already gone by the time you get back to your car, it's going to look like I parked selfishly.
So please think twice about slamming your door into mine, just because you perceive that I've parked badly.

I said I had no qualms about it, didn't say I do it routinely. but I think about it often. haha.
As for your dents at KFC.... well... you were in France. right? 'nuff said. You go to France you take your own life into your hands.

Going back to my parking at the swimming pool car park on Sunday - the only space left for me was scrunched up next to some other car because the car to the right was all higgledy-piggledy.
KF - just bear that in mind next time you are handing out your own style of "parking fines". | The following 3 users would like to thank for this useful post: | |
