Re: Neighbor thinks laundry room is her own personal property!

Where I come from we have our own washing machines. The system here is so archaic.

In the 10 years I live in Switzerland I always has a machine installed in my apartment. If this is important to you find an apartment you can install your own machine.

I use the downstairs ones only for sheets and blanks and the like.

Re: Neighbor thinks laundry room is her own personal property!

Update on my neighbor:

-After the advice on the post, I agreed with the people who said to see if it was a one-off. It appears that it was a heavy laundry week that week, but since then I see less stuff hanging and I was actually able to use it an entire morning on Tuesday.

-they have other problems, last night I was privy to a knock down drag out I ALMOST CALLED THE COPS AFTER HEARING A HEAVY THUD fight. Next time they fight like that I am. Not for noise (i now wear earplugs in my own home because they dont have inside voices even when they aren't beating each other down) but because I am literally worried about homicide.

-I 've been watching and observing and she seems to vacate the machine around 18h if she takes it the whole day. So since I only need about four loads a week, I can now safely assume that in a worst case scenario I can do a load when I get home (why yes, I am unemployed and "have the time" but I spend my days hustling and job hunting and networking, plus I try to keep a 9 to 5 schedule so I don-t get depressed).

She's still cray cray but since I won't pay extra water for 2011 I am going to observe some more before getting the regie invovled. Specifically, I want to see if she does the same at Christmas (I blame the extra laundry on fall break from school).

Re: Neighbor thinks laundry room is her own personal property!

Indeed, how do you know the neighbour is continuously washing?
Or deliberately hogging the maschine?

I have a forgetful neighbour who washes and forgets.
I used to quietly wait until the machine was empty.

But now I simply take her items out, leave them on the laudry table and do my washing.

Result? I can do 10 loads of washing over 2 days, whilst her load of wet, and slowly drying washing, remains sitting on the table for days and days....

She simply forgets. Nothing else.

I wish it was like that. No, the machine is constantly turning. Can't hang anything either.

Did you take my advice to talk to her and make up a laundry schedule between you two? You're not a board student anymore... I think 2 adults would be able to find a good solution without much strife?

Off topic, but the basic assumption here is flawed, else the world would not be in so much strife
