LiB'y... I can't speak for Paddy's' Mrs.G but I can guarantee if you spent the weekend with my Mrs.G you would be in no fit state this morning, for standing up, or for typing.

Must we? Can't we continue talking about Cornwall and all things Cornish? Far more interesting than LiB's obesity problem.

+1 for leg room. Re the width - this is not America. I'm large and I can fit on the seats ok.

Thank you for the constructive comment. It has nothing to do with America. I feel there ought to be a system, where they can put in tram/subway sized seats in buses, as I feel 2 grown men cannot sit comfortably next to each other without invading each other's personal space.

Ultimately it comes down to cost, bigger seats = less people on the buses = higher ticket costs. Personally I think I already pay enough tax to subsidise your 'nearly free' transport

..but there has to be a solution to make the journey more comfortable. Double-decker buses with a business class on top?

if you are going that way... could we just have "washed" and "unwashed" sections ?
It would make the crowded seat situation so much more tolerable ( for some of us )

Re: narrow bus seats

same here, any public seat for that matter (train, plane, bus , movies) Worst is when they take both armrests grrrrrrrr
Granted I am much taller than the average person.....Thats one reason I dont use public transport....even in my car (wagon) no one can sit behind me unless they had their legs wrapped around their head....
