| | narrow bus seats
Would it kill bus companies, to order/put in larger seats into their vehicles, so that I don't have to sit on anybody's lap?! When I sit in a bus seat, my shoulder cover at least a third of the adjacent seat...which is alright if nobody sits there. However, it gets quite uncomfortable, when somebody sits next to me as I end up doing the awkward shoulder shurg or end up invading the other passenger's space. Does anybody else have similar issues?

Not just width, but legroom. The new buses in Fribourg are designed for pygmys.

I have no problem with large shouldered men. Specially in winter, with the necessary 20 onion layers of clothing, I do understand the "large bones".
I have a problem with men that seem to believe their balls are the size of basketballs and sit spread eagle, reducing your place to sit down to a child's bench, while at the same time "checking" their Iphone with an outstreched arm invading the nose space of the passenger in front.
*sigh*
