Suggest you go to METROPOL at Börsenstrasse 10 just a building behind the SNB -- spacious (ok for a twin-buggy) -- good coffee -- good wines
He was earlier than you.

You've got it

...but when the weather warms up and the staff stand out on the pavement offering free little samples of whatever seasonal flavours are on offer this year you may as well sample. Just a sip from one of those tiny cups and you will (almost guaranteed) wonder how anyone could consume a larger size.

Personal preference - if I want something sweet and frozen I would rather have some nice ice cream or gelato...w/a very strong black coffee at the side.

The FRAPPUC-stuff is around to attract the 12 to 20 age group and if some older customers love it, why not

In the summer, a strawberry & cream or mint choc chip frappuccino makes a fantastic lunch!

Not even in the summer months? (I don't exactly have a Swiss "summer" in mind when I'm asking this)

He's trying to show that Starbucks is based on Milanese cafe society because one of the founders of Starbucks went on a buying trip to Milan.

i.e. people go out for coffee rather than just have it after a meal or with breakfast as used to be the case in the U.S. (generalising to some degree) before Starbucks.

When I was a kid, I would have probably have thought that as an adult, such a drink would have been fantastic.
Now I'm an adult, it doesn't have so much appeal.

The inverse to the "legal drinking age"?

Indeed. If you lived on one of those per day at 500 calories a go you'd be rather thin.*

* and malnourished and lacking in essential vitamins and probably have scurvy

Is it that foggy over there today?

When kids get a whiff or heaven forbid little sip of an alcoholic beverage being consumed by adults they quite often wrinkle their noses and are amazed one would enjoy drinking beer/wine etc.

Then kids become adults and some transformation occurs not only in the brain but receptors from tastebuds to brain...

So maybe *$ should only sell frapuccinos to under 20's

I still don't know what this has got to do with what you wrote: "legal drinking age".

There isn't a legal drinking age. It varies from country to country. In France, for example, you can drink at any age in private.

What I meant was that quite often, peoples' tastes change as they get older. And yes, alcoholic drinks that children find distasteful become more appealing as one gets older.
