It's either the spank button or the heavy petting button.

Should I create a poll?
We also need:

-Manly hug
-Unwanted sexist eye-motion
-Handing a tissue over (make 2 of those for obvious reasons)
-High five
-Whatever women do instead of high fives

Yes! And perhaps also:

- sniffing screen
- licking screen; and my personal favorite:
- virtual dry-humping

I think what Nil is trying to point out is that virtual dry-humping does not exist other than in a mathematical abstract sense.....
dry-humping X (-1)^0.5

Try telling that to my stuffed animals when I was 5 years old.

Yup, I think Arogent went back to the bar with a whole new perspective. She hasnt been around for a while. So the thread is starting to feel good all of a sudden! I guess my job here is done.....!

Re: Unwanted sexist comments from men in public

Good to see this thread is still going strong.

I see the mods have decided not to remove the video. Mods don't worry though I won't be starting a thread saying you are all fundamental christians......

I'm surprised the thread title hasn't been changed though since she now admits it wasn't what was said which annoyed her, and anyway what was said was in no way sexist. I prospose the thread title should be changed to:

'A man looked at me'

which is effectively what it's about. And apart from that trying to classify this as being sexist trivialises the consequences of real sexual harassment.
Here's some more constructive advice for for Argent:

Be careful not to become the girl who cries wolf - Paricularly in Valais

Go to the police and press charges for sexual harassment, hire the most expensive lawyer in the region and sue his ass for damages and sell your story to the Blick so that all of the country realises what horror sexual harrassment is. Oh and most importantly be sure to keep us updated

That thought occurred to me earlier, too. It's a shame that people are so quick to bandy around terms such as "harassment" and other inflammatory words without a thought that it might trivialise it for people who are genuinely sexually harassed and/or abused.

I understand people get angry, then anger gives way to them using more emotive words than perhaps is necessary to justify their level of anger but it does no favours to those victims of genuine and more serious offences.

Maybe this forum was a good tool for Argent to diffuse her anger or at least to deflect it rather than running to the police.

I can imagine how that would have gone down......
She probably doesn't realise how lucky she is that she came here first.

How do you know that?

If a woman says that she feels humiliated and hurt, the common answer she receives is: STOP, shut up, you are overreacting!

I merely described the behaviour of those men which wasn't acceptable. A woman is not a piece of meat to be looked at, she also has feelings. As far as I read the posts, except several really valuable, the notion is that it's OK to humiliate a woman and it is OK when she gets over it. But it is NOT ok when a woman is distant towards strange men.

I have not been witness and so do not claim to know. It is my question, and a very justified question

You should simply not feel humiliated by such a thing !

NO, it of course is NOT acceptable to humiliate women

And then we come to the point that you according to your description of the matter got up and approached their place. Why ?

------------------------------------------------

AND, people in bars in the Wallis/Valais drink WHITE WINE, either Fendant or Johannisberger .... and again, with exception of the area between Martigny and the Lake of Geneva, Wallis is Catholic

if it was a young hot stud, then it's a compliment, if it's an older gentleman, it's humiliation...

They started to talk to me first while sitting at their table. I didin't make an eye contact, I was busy with my laptop, music was quite loud and I barely heard what they asked me. I could ignore them and continue working on my laptop, but I approached them and asked to repeat the question. And then it has started...
Everyone on this post has missed the fact that the two men behaved differently when their wives returned. If they were correct, they would introduce me to their wives. But they blatantly took advantage when the two ladies dissapeared in the toilet and the owners of the pub were outside.

So, what do you want us to do? Give you our sympathy? Storm the bar? Beat up the two men?

Seriously, woman, you confuse me.

Age has nothing to do with manners, and that older "gentleman" lacked them.

No we haven't. we just also noticed that this was also after you made a mountain of out of a molehill, refused their handshake and generally acted stuck up. You playing the sexual harassment card is an insult to all the real victims of sexual harassment and sexual abuse. Please stop looking for reasons to play the victim
