Religion and faith in God are two different things. Religion was invented by people, it is a human tradition. I prefer to focus on faith in God.

Methodism is not a religion, protestantism is not a religion either.
Yes they are forms of Christianity, which is a religion...and regarding the bf you brout him into the discussion...deep sigh...I want to walk away but can't

In the past I had a director in a company who said often: "Don't guess, give the facts, the evidence".
You don't get irony, do you?

Just log yourself in wikipedia, you have work to do.
From wiki:
Protestantism is one of the major groupings* within Christianity. It has been defined as "any of several church denominations* denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truth" and, more broadly, to mean Christianity outside "of a Catholic or Eastern church.

*a grouping is not a religion, church is not a religion. Religion means rituals, i.e. praying the rosary. This is a human tradition.

Re: Unwanted sexist comments from men in public

Christianity is a religion, protestant, catholic, methodist, Anglican, Lutheran, baptist etc, are all different branches of it, seriously, you are having a religious debate without the correct knowledge, it's like coming to a gunfight with a butter knife

A "grouping" is not a religion. But Methodism and Protestism aren't "groupings". They are two of the "major groupings within Christianity".

And what is Christianity?

A religion. Or more specifically (also from Wikipedia):
Christianity is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus as presented in canonical gospels and other New Testament writings. It also considers the Hebrew Bible, which is known as the Old Testament, to be canonical. Adherents of the Christian faith are known as Christians."

You need to re- read your own posts, maybe that would help, I suspect you are likely to be trolling, and I feel more sorry for you if you aren't as it means you are likely to be simply ignorant.
