I know it's probably not the point of your post, but regarding vfm comparisons:

Re: Seasonal price gouging

Was looking at different Polar Fitness watches in the different sports stores. The one model I was thinking to buy was on sale from 159sfr down to 119sfr. I was thinking "wow, that's a pretty good deal!" Until I saw it on an online shop here near my house for 89sfr... go figure

Re: Seasonal price gouging

I was needing a cake tin - normal round one +- 29cm, and most prices were around the Sfr15 - Sfr29 mark.
Found the perfect one at Kik for 2 euros.

Same with a chrome stand thingy to stack toilet rolls on, that stands on the floor.
Prices at Obi were Sfr40.
Kik - 8 euro.

Re: Seasonal price gouging

2 CHF in Ikea? Rip off.

Just glug a large mouthful of milk straight from the carton, gargle it and slosh it around, suck it between your teeth, then spit it from a decent hight into your mug.

Re: Seasonal price gouging

Real men and women whip their milk with a whisk!

I know, I know...it's primitive. I've never had one of these thingamajigs (milk frothers), that didn't break within a week.

Thanks for that! I showed that Aldi milk frother to my SO and he said "Yeah, but how long will it last before it breaks?"....

We use this one & it's great! Of course, you can't use it just to froth the milk.

As to the original topic: It really really makes me want to write to Manor and point out the issue. OMG.
