ok maybe they're not that often, but if i have 4 people driving in the family, even if its every now and then its really annoying. its like in the future cars might as well be on a track or conveyor belt.
Poor observation all round. The nice round signs are what you need to spot - if you get those right then the cameras you can ignore.

They're usually white signs, circular in shape, red trim and a number in the middle.

In the family? I hope you are not talking about your son for example...my son is most of the times in the car with me...I want him to see me and then, when he drives, I do not have to stay at home and worry about the way he is driving...

Re: Ban Speeding Cameras

its not even the ticket which pisses me off. its the notion that the government can't control people themselves, they have to rely on technology to control. people seem to forget that governments are people too.

I vote for government-driven amputations of right feet. That'll solve the problem.

i know they're here for our "safety" but some US states are already banning them because they are an infringement on peoples constitutional rights. who thinks we should have a similar referendum and bring back the old days?

i hate when technology is used to control people.
Are you actually old enough to drive??

Re: Ban Speeding Cameras

I can't stand people who can't take responsibility for the actions and blame everyone else under the sun. Sack up and pay the fine, or just don't speed. I've gotten plenty of tickets, the highest was 250 CHF, and while it sucked, they were all my fault and my fault alone.

Re: Ban Speeding Cameras

i don't care about the ticket i can pay. but the fact that technology is used to control populations makes me tick. The WORST part of all though: I can't stand people taking my picture without my permission.

Why complain about your picture being taken...you are driving too fast anyway

Speed cameras take your picture only when you are speeding -- de facto, you give your permission to have your photograph taken when you speed. Don't speed, and you won't have your photo taken.

I don't like being handcuffed without my permission.* I don't get handcuffed unless I break the law and am arrested. Therefore, by not breaking the law, I avoid effectively giving permission to be handcuffed.

* Of course, there are certain scenarios where I would gladly give permission to be handcuffed. Unfortunately, they generally remain just that -- scenarios.

I don't approve of people looking at me without my permission. Unfortunately, I'm so good looking that they can't help themselves, and I've had to learn to live with it.

I advise the same for you.
