Re: It has begun! (Fastnacht)

This is a message to the Mexicans who were playing "Quantanamara" at about a thousand decibels outside my house at 11:30 pm yesterday.

DON'T DO THAT AGAIN; FOR I WILL CHOP YER HEADS OFF.

On the other hand, I did walk into a local pub after that and was greeted by three trombones behind the bar, so life is not so bad

Re: It has begun! (Fastnacht)

Was just watching Basel Fastnacht on Tele Basel and it occurred to me where I have heard Guggemusic before.
While listening to a tortuous rendition of New York , New York it reminded of Les Dawson playing the piano!!
Now I'm sure there are some of you out there in Cyberspace who thinks who in the hell is Les Dawson? However I am comforted by the fact that DB and certainly Uncle Bertrand will be entirely familiar with the virtuoso Sir Les. Maybe even that Uncle Bertrand met him before his untimely death some years ago.
