well if the summer is anything like the " burning of the Böög " then anything can be expected!
The builder of the Böög this year should be imprisoned http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/zuerich/...story/21066232 | The following 2 users would like to thank omtatsat for this useful post:

well, I got my philips-daylight "sun" back out from the cellar (third time this year!) and my mood and energy are back up. I wonder, is this an artificial good mood now? |

It already pissed this morning. Well more than pissed actually. But sun is out now so hopefully the forecast for a dry week is actually true!

No rain in the NE Jura- and the sun is out. Apparently 27C tomorrow when all our international guests have left the Vallée. Ah well, they had a fab time anyhow and loved 'louching' their absinthe with the huge rain drops of Friday night's storm up in t'mountains.

Yesterday was actually perfect for me, sunny for long periods then clouding over, maximum if around 22° and then rain in the late evening to water the garden.
A whole summer like that would do for me.
*I did manage to get a bit sunburnt though. Must remember the sun cream in future. | The following 3 users would like to thank Belgianmum for this useful post:

Farmers here are getting desperate as they are normally about to make the second cut for hay (les foins) by now- and they still have not been able to make the first cut. At this rate they will be short of fodder for the winter.
Terrible too for our birds of prey, kites, buzzards, and many types of owls, as well as our resident house martins and swallows- who have not been able to hunt properly to feed young. And for hares, deer, etc- who give birth in long grass so young will be hidden (at least they are not getting mowed and torn up by the combine harversters!)
