Re: Weather!

Always nice when some thunder and rain clears up the air.

But must admit I do like the warmth - especially in company with a cold beer

How does everyone feel after the rains and thunders? And, finally, pleasant temperatures of around 18-21?
Frustrated. And it definitely was a lot lower than 18°C here today.

Beginning to wonder if it's the British expats who influence our weather/ruin our summers ...... and is that legal?

Two big thunderstorms last night and now it is pi##ing down again.
As the OP posted - I used to think English Summers were poor.

It does remind of an English summer doesn't it? But whenever I watch something on the BBC it's always fantastically sunny .

We had that a couple of nights ago. While I was enjoying the sound of the rain mixed with sweet oblivion my daughter said that she woke-up at 2am to a "window / sheet" of rain outside her open window that she'd never seen before in her 21 years here in CH.

Additionally, apparently they discovered a new cloud formation that's exciting meteoroligists in the U.K. at the moment according to the morning news according to the english channel that I listen to in the mornings .

Re: Weather!

If it can serve some consolation and not to burst your expats bubble, the weather is the same in Germany and Austria and not only limited to Switzerland. They all in the same soaking wet shoes and the same boats drifting on overflowing rivers.

But our shoes are more expensive and, according to other threads appear to disintegrate without warning .

Just houdling down here in Eglisau. I'm thinking I might get my tools out of the cellar and start making an ark.

Re: Weather!

Whew! Getting hot. Just changed the beds and finally put the duvets away for the summer, the latest I've ever done that I think. Just down to sheets now.

May cool down a bit on Friday/Saturday but then heading up the temp scale again next week.

Baking here too.
32° in the shade is just a bit too hot for me.

I honestly never thought I'd be complaining about the heat when I learned that I'd be moving to Switzerland
