Wonder where- absolutely none here- although a bit grey with intermittent sun.
'Up there' somewhere, couldn't see anything only hear it whilst I was working in the garden.
No sign of any storm here and only one very brief downpour.

Re: Weather!

I had a tennis match planned this morning and as soon as we got to the club it's started pouring with rain. We sat for 45minutes chatting and seeing if it will be clearing up at some point. No chance.

I came back home. Then waited out few hours, decided to do something while feeing guilty of spending Saturday with no exercise at all. So I went out jogging at about 3pm and few minutes later it started raining again. Guess what, I said time to HTFU and go with the flow. I run for 1 hour in the forest getting sporadically wet here and there but it made me feel good about myself. No pain no gain. I'm not made of sugar, hence one has to push oneself a bit. That's a way to beat the weather on a crappy day whereas to keep the mood upbeat.

Aaah, picture upload is not working! Internet cables must be too damp!
Perhaps try again? I am curious to see how it looked!

Re: Weather!

I totally agree with Anthony1406. Having recently moved from California I am not complaining about the weather. Acres of land sit fallow due to drought, some towns have actually lost elevation due to the water table being depleted, and fires are jeopardizing one of the most beautiful areas of the state, Big Sur. It's all a matter of perspective.

Re: Weather!

I wonder how much swimming one can do in the September/October months particularly in Zurich.

Re: Weather!

Depends on the weather of course. September may be okay, but I doubt October would be much fun unless you like really cold water. If we get an Indian summer then it could be a different story. Lovely weather last year right up into November.

In my experience, it was zero unless you don't mind wearing a wetsuit.

This year has been AMAZING!!!
Like the old days (before climate warming).

Anyone who's not able to / has a child who won't jump into the Zürisee only has themselves to blame for long-term damage.

Re: Weather!

I would argue that it is relative and depends on the air-con's settings ...

Re: Weather!

Well, did have the windows and shutters open a bit. Flung both open first thing this morning and then closed it all up again after a couple of hours. Still have 27.9 in the living room, but it does get the sun on it all day which makes it the hottest room in the house.

Thinking of getting that outside insulation material put on which would help I hope!

And sunshades. They really help. Keep walls and balconies from heating up and releasing heat long after the sun is set.

Do have a sunshade on the balcony, but never used it.
