Re: Weather!

Yes, I saw snow mentioned in my Meteocentrale forecast for next week too. We might get a dusting possibly.

Re: Weather!

Greyish this morning but bright and fairly warm(ish) at 13C - now turned yukky yuk, rain and quite a bit colder. Snow forecast for tomorrow- so off my my last jacuzzi session of the season - and will empty afterwards with the pump and bring it in for cleaning and drying before going back in the box until ... April?

Thank goodness for the new pool at Lac St Point, with water at 29C, fab views and spa with jacuzzi, hamman and sauna until then + occasional visits to Yverdon spa.

Re: Weather!

Miserable here all day. Grey, a bit misty, rain on and off. Just about to close the window shutters to hide it all. Might get some snow Sunday night/Monday morning.

Re: Weather!

Quite bright - but it did try to snow this morning for a bit- soggy wet stuff- but didn't last. Top of mountains opposite and behind all white for first time though.

Re: Weather!

Finally the snow beasts have down to the valley from the mountain come! Fierce they howl in the night, through streets prowling. Citizens are afraid! Shutters slammed at dusk. Timid eyes through frost-pawed windows peer.

But meteocentrale suggests that it might be a bit warmer later in the week, so we can expect rain and sleet again.

OMG - just looked outside and 2 inches - there were none when I looked a couple of hours ago- after a bright sunny afternoon.

Re: Weather!

Just trying to snow here now. Flakes drifting gently in the wind, but it doesn't look too nice in the distance. Landscape's vanishing under cloud/snow.

Re: Weather!

Biel and environment get a flurry too at the moment, tho' the road is still clear and it hasn't particularly set down here.
Though the Chasseral , which is visible from me, has quite a snow cap on now

And it's all disappeared - bright sunshine now. Who said anything about snow.

I can see the Chasseral from my window and it's looking lovely with the snow and the backdrop of lovely blue sky.

We had a snowstorm about an hour and a half ago apparently and there is still snow on the lawn. Hubby said it was a complete white out as he drove back from Neuchâtel and he saw two accidents. They were loading a smashed up car onto a trailer as I drove back just now so there must have been another one going in the opposite direction too. I think it took a lot if people by surprise.

We still haven't got any snow poles up here yet.

Re: Weather!

Frosty this morning and just looked out the window and seen we've had some snow as well. Just a dusting to cover the ground, roads are still clear. No snow poles up on our little road yet so hope any clearance vehicles will be okay if it turns bad tomorrow. I've got my oil delivery due then!

Edit: It's SNOWING!

Re: Weather!

Had a few flakes in Geneva but it's melted. It's that time of year when people say they didn't know winter was coming so haven't had time to change their tyres.

Re: Weather!

Still snowing - about 25cm so far...

snow poles all in place, and of course, snow tyres on ... I mean how can anyone be taken by surprise - snow normally begins much earlier than this year.

Really? I don't think we get snow very often in October and not usually very much in November. The higher places in the alps etc. may get snow much earlier than this but not at the lower altitudes (below 1200m).
