| | Re: Weather! | Quote: | | | | | So who else is shoveling a 'piddle path' for vertically challenged mutts? | | | | | I remember doing that. My dog wouldn't pee in the snow because her bottom got cold. She also used to fetch her coat before fetching her lead when we had snow. I'd still take that over searching for the cat til 3am because he refused point blank to come in for the night, but he's just rocked up for lunch and bolted outside again.
If having a dog is like having a child, having a cat is like having a reckless teenager who only comes home for food and the occasional cuddle.

If he doesn't come in before I go to bed then he's out for the night. He doesn't seem to mind and rarely seems to be either cold or wet when he comes in in the morning. Cats have a knack for finding nice, warm sheltered places to go to at night in my experience.

That is NEVER an argument that any sane person can make. The two single biggest things I do not miss from the UK are the weather (especially North West) and traffic. Switzerland is fantastic on both counts. Oh, but I do miss decent, reasonable priced, take-away | The following 2 users would like to thank mhatton for this useful post:

| | Re: Weather! | Quote: | | | | | Fancy doing a swap? | | | | | No thanks . To be honest I am not even sure how many bodies there are. Had a quick peak & saw lumps under various duvets. Dormitory type "system" with a few beds, sofa bed & mattresses on the floor so there may be a few more. It's the "I'll have a few staying overnight" type thing.

Minus 24 C here last night- and now a winterwonderland. Xcountry ski tracks bashed and opened, and Métabief/Mt d'Or opening partially.

Last night saw him warmly tucked up in his bed with no intention of going anywhere else long before my bedtime.

Snowing hard - Minou the tripod is staying in his bed on top of shoe cupboard in the utility, watching every snow flake. He has definitely fallen on his 3 feet that one |

Am I supposed to be happy about all these snow forecasts!!! Can't stand the stuff, and tomorrow I have to drive to Sion to get my car tested by the State! Of course, in a few months, it will be Spring and the snow will have disappeared! Can't wait!

Lol snowing hard here and grass definitely covered ...nearly 'lost' the dogs in the garden just now. Got to keep reminding myself that, no, it is not a hare crossing our snowy patio... but our new 3 legged cat.
As said Merrylegs- you've definitively chosen the wrong spot if you hate the stuff | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

I have cleared the snow twice. Hubby wants to buy a tractor with a shovel. We had very little snow the past couple of years but now I am considering it. |

Why not a snow blower? We couldn't survive without ours.
