Yeah, same here, quite windy, but lovely and sunny with it.

Woman killed in the UK by falling debris, flights and ferries cancelled, roads closed.

Re: Weather!

I've got 16.1 here.

Enjoy it while you can though. My forecast here for next week says heavy rain on Tuesday and snow on Wednesday. Will probably change before then, but that's what's on the cards at the moment.

YOU .... I will not let you ruin my wonderful day. I live in the moment, so keep your glass ball and your tarot cards away from me.

Re: Weather!

It was a beautiful spring-ish day, which put me in the mood for a bit of a garden clean up... a good thing, as in doing so I found a bag of about 500 bulbs that I had forgotten to plant last fall.

Cue mad digging ahead of the tomorrow's rain, hoping that is isn't too late for blooms this spring. Ah well, less time in the ground might also mean a reduced chance of turning into mouse food. Thumbs pressed.

With rain forecast as far as I can see, it seems the dreaded 'mud season' is nigh. You know you've lived in (this part of) Switzerland too long when you start to look forward to a spring freeze, if only for a reprieve from the mud long enough to get the floors (and furry paws) somewhat clean.

Re: Weather!

Yesterday was sunny and bright, but windy. Today, greyish and colder- and when we went up the hill to walk the dogs- it started to snow- snowing here now. Sadly too late to save last week-end's big xcountry ski race- which had to be cancelled last minute due to rain- the organisers worked so so hard to make perfect piste conditions meh.

5.45pm- snowing heavily now.

Not enough for them to be able to hold the ski courses up at Les BUGNENETS - SAVAGNIÈRES during the school holidays next week which is a real pity for them.

Yesterday was much better than expected and it didn't cloud over until about 5ish.
A lovely bright sunny morning this morning.

Re: Weather!

Lovely, sunny and no wind here too- what little snow fell last night all melted int he warm sunshine.

Such a shame for the local resorts like ours at la Robella, that opened for just a couple of days- and Les Bugnenets, etc. The xcountry ski season also only lasted 1 month. Terrible for the resorts, shops, restaus, hôtels ...

The World Cup skiing at Crans Montana was also affected due to the soft snow. Several of the women crashed and three of the Americans withdrew as they considered it too dangerous

Re: Weather!

Poor horse must say I just hate racing

Drove through Little Siberia, la Brévine this afternoon- the mecca for xcountry skiing and skating on the lovely Lac des Taillères, and the wild peat bogs- most of the snow gone, and the lovely surprise was the many pairs of Red Kites which have just returned. As we drove up and over, we could see all the Bernese Alps in the distance, lovely.

We later went for a walk up in the mountain near us with the dogs, and a pair of kites were meewing like kitties and swooping and diving right above our head, so so close. One landed in a fir tree right opposite- showing the lovey russet colour and forked tail, and watched the dogs go crazy running in the field. What a joy.

Sunshine tomorrow.
There certainly is and it's lovely and warm too.
I'm just sitting on my patio with a view of the alps drinking a well earned coffee after cutting back and tidying up a few things the garden.

Going to take your example and have a good chillaxing and reading session on the balcony later today...when it is a tad warmer than it currently is

Glorious sunshine is gracing my shores hereabouts as well

It's blowing a hoolie here in Geneva. How's it up in the mountains? Are you bald with your wigs blown off or is just here our blinds are rattling?

It's been getting windy here too. Rain/sleet/snow possibly overnight and all day tomorrow.

Lovely and sunny- spent it walking dogs and weeding flower beds (was not able to do any of it last year so determined to catch any weed early)- tad breezy- and certainly no strong wind.

What a night! 100 km/h wind, then lightning storm, then torrential rain, now snow
