Re: Weather!

Some rumbling and a thin line of tstorms on our way. Quite a bit of rumbling this afternoon for a bit too, not so much rain. But, the sky's cool and the light is weird...

Make the most of it. In a few weeks we'll be moaning that it's too darn hot.

Re: Weather!

It was definitely too hot to be wielding the fork & weeding today past about 10am. I have floppy pumpkins & not just because of the heat . They need a drink but will have to wait till tomorrow morning otherwise the thermic shock will kill them off.

Re: Weather!

Can't believe it but is actually snowing up here on the Jura - seems crazy that I was sunbathing on the balcony a couple of days ago...

Re: Weather!

Can we at least get some clouds to block some of this intense sun? The heat is bad enough (30C), but the sun is just baking my poor skin

Re: Weather!

It's been superb for many weeks - apart from last Friday when it snowed as Smackerjack says- although we were not around. It's been so hot and muggy today, but clouds are gathering and it's cooling down- sp perhaps a storm here tonight too???

Later edit/update- yes, thunder and massive downpour, 15 mins then back to sun - just in time for soak in jakuzzi

For the first time ever I feel like saying: Move (to the Antarctic maybe?)
This was my kind of day, YES PLEASE let them roll on for months on end.

Re: Weather!

Yes, it's that time of year when all the "white" people want a tan & all the darker skinned ones stay out of the sun so as not to get too dark. The Summer Irony dance. But as we all know, a lot of the whities just look like beetroots. I just look like a panda with sunglasses & various t-shirt lines.

You have no idea how disappointed I was to learn that Seattle receives more snow than Basel. If I had wanted to live in a place with a burning sun and 30+ degrees, I would have looked at the Mediterranean coast

Wunderground is currently posting 32.2 for my location. This is 10 degrees above my comfort zone

30 degrees in the shade here too. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Phew, it's a scorcher! (As the UK papers say when it gets above 20 degrees )
