Just looking at the forecast for the next few days on Meteocentrale.ch and on Wednesday they're forecasting 31lm2 of rainfall! 31! Ridiculous!
Or, in other words, slightly less than 1-1/4".

No big deal.

Don't need to move to Ticino for that, it's the same here.

Re: Weather!

oh yeah- same here up in t'mountains. And wild flowers at the moment are just stunning - what a sight. Kind cups, soft pink bistort, bright fuschsia thistles, tall gorgeous blue and white Jacob's ladders, fluffly purple Thalyctrum, poet's narcissi, and millions of cranesbill geraniums in blues and pinks. Just wonderful.

Re: Weather!

Lovely day here, sunny with the occasional cloud, nice breeze coming in through the open windows. Clouded over a bit around 6pm so I went and shut the velux window in the bathroom roof just in case, but no sign of rain or thunderstorms here despite Meteocentrale's yellow warning.

Re: Weather!

Lovely, peaceful, warm rain with some thunder grumbling. Lots of it though which means I don't need to water the plants tonight and hopefully all those mosquitos that bit me this afternoon will be drowned and die a miserable death.

No :-) You are north of where I am (afaik) and the rain is moving east

Re: Weather!

Downpour during the night- but lovely day again today. In the next valley, they had horrendous hail and tons of rain which flooded garages, etc.

Once again teased with the forecast of heavy rain only to have it blow over

My garden could use the rain - and I could use the relief from this heat.

Nothing here either. We had a bit of a storm with a heavy downpour on Wednesday evening which freshened things up at bit but nothing since despite the severe weather warnings for this area.

It's the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, and with this heat it'll certainly feel like it!

Re: Weather!

Problem is I don't enjoy it when it's this hot. I've got nearly 28C indoors at the moment and it's only going to get hotter. And that's with the windows and shutters closed to try and keep the heat down. 21-22C is what I enjoy most, pleasantly warm without killing me.
