Which Continent
North America. It's that big mostly two country rock between the Arctic and South America.

Ah, the one which I can't wait to visit in August.
But I'm going to be in a place where the nearest land is Japan.

It's the only thing that keeps me going right now, and chose it because the climate is temperate rain forest.

Ok this is getting ridiculous. Would someone please turn the heating down.
Unfortunately, not until about Wednesday. But IF the forecast is right then much cooler (18-20C) and plenty of rain. Just praying the forecast doesn't change between now and then.

That's a good prayer. The forecast may stay the same .... as long as it's faulty

It's a scorching 21 Degrees on the Island, 33% Humidex, but by the time you get there it'll be all the way up to 24 or so.

I was simply unable to be productive work-wise.
Our office temperature is a minimum of 27C on days when its 22C outside.

We were asked to work from home during the past 2 days due to a "Hackathon", so our seats were confiscated (not that they were any good). But no doubt that UBS will win again.

And I'll be in trouble because I felt quite sick today due to the heat, and will have to work tomorrow to compensate before the boss returns from vacation.

Re: Weather!

I was doing fine today. It was slightly overcast so no sun, nice breeze while strolling around Bienne this morning, temp around 24C. Then the sun came out about 1pm and I'm back to sweating like a pig whenever I move more than a few feet. 28.6 in my room here at the moment, living room's hit 30 again.

Same here in Geneva. Nice until about 10.30am pottering in the garden with a cool breeze but then it heated up. Have given up keeping all the windows closed as it's 27c inside so at least have some air movement even if it is a hairdrier now. I even resorted to putting a wet flannel on my head + neck during the night.

Same here in Basel, too. I actually got to work in the garden and NOT have my eyes stinging with sweat within the first 10 minutes. But at least it does not feel as hot as it has the last couple of weeks. I am looking forward to some rain though!!

Yeah, wash with cold water in the morning and another sluice down before going to bed.

Re: Weather!

But a FLANNEL? How old am I getting? First I even notice what the weather is doing & comment on it & now I need to cool my areas? I used to go out in a hurricane or a blizzard & think it was fun.

And I'm paying for BC.

My daughter also suggested Scotland (she was there already), but I had to top her with a cold bit of Canada for my dream trip).

Same here in Neuchâtel. I managed to get quite a bit of gardening done this morning while the temperature was still relatively pleasant.
It got a lot warmer from about 11am onwards but nowhere near as bad as the previous few days.

I am really looking forward to some rain though and it doesn't seem as though we'll be getting any here any time soon.
