Re: Weather!

Now we've gone the other way. Just started chucking it down here with high winds so it's blowing sideways. From getting a nice breeze through all the open windows have had to shut most of them because the rain is coming in on two sides of the house!

You are a professional complainer!

Anyway, I need the sun back as I still can't get my little toe in any shoes. So flip-flop weather or I'll go berserk here.

Hey! I was fine until I got soaked trying to get the shutters closed. I ended up half drenched.

And I'm quite happy in my equivalent of flip flops right now as the inside temp is still 25.5C.

Re: Weather!

Well, 23.7 outside so that's not bad. You might get a bit wet though.

Re: Weather!

Been here 20 years and never saw a storm like today
Our balcony is recessed about 2 metres into the building so the walls and ceiling are part of the main structure.
So the balcony doors are well recessed and protected from the weather; first time ever these doors are covered in rainwater

I wanted to go out on the balcony and bring in the cushions but the wind was so strong that I had to struggle with the door so I chickened out!

I remember the doom sayers in 2012 saying Atlantic Hurricane Sandy was so strong because of global warming and the fore runner of many more.

In fact since then the number of hurricanes per year was below average, nothing in size and power like Sandy and in 2013 there were even no major hurricanes.

I don't know which weather forecast you've been looking at but the two I regularly use are showing a lovely week next week.

Re: Weather!

Perfect- great weather again for our last lot of visitors, then rain which was much needed for a couple of days- and lovely weather for next lot arriving tonight and tomorrow. Hurrah.

Grey this morning- but lovely and sunny now- just a bit cooler, thank goodness- to last few weeks.

The Swiss didn't, you folks did. Maybe there is some truth about "Swiss with xy roots" after all
