Re: Weather!

The Basel area can thank/blame me for the sudden spate of rain we've had. My husband and I installed an automated sprinkler system in the garden. Six hours later it started to rain and has barely let up since then.

I had no idea the sprinkler system would be so effective

Oops, meant to ask DB what's the book's subject?
It's a fantasy children's novel set in Glarnerland. The weather this week has been ideal for imagining it.

I'm glad that Medea asked, as I was curious too. Not to hijack this thread, but I am more attuned to publishing since a friend of mine has been getting rave reviews for her debut novel "Gather the Daughers". It is really cool to see the media outlets excited about her book!

And now back to your forecasted blissfully cool evening

Because you're dog walking with your handy, posting on EF. (Or a strap-on-chest laptop?!)
Nature wants your attention.

Re: Weather!

In one hour I have experienced strong wind, followed by rain, then hail and by the end of the hour blinding sunshine. Only in Switzerland...

Re: Weather!

I had to wear socks and shoes yesterday for the first time in weeks!!

It's going to get warmer this weekend, then we can all complain about that.

Re: Weather!

Shame our last bunch of visitors didn't have fabulous weather - since they are from NI and Scotland - they didn't mind too much.

But Summer is back - enjoy

Re: Weather!

Can't - it's too hot (hitting 30-31C here) and I'm having to run the central heating system for several hours each day prior to having a new boiler installed. Cleaning solution has to be circulated through all the radiators so please, please let the forecast for Sunday of rain and cooler temps next week be right!

27.8C and it's only just turned 9.30am.

Re: Weather!

Yesterday was unbearable outside - my car parked in the shade displayed 34.

A bit greyish today, a little breeze and cooler today - pheeew.

Re: Weather!

Um, my humidity meter is quite happy at the moment (literally - a ). Usually it's moaning because it's too low or sometimes too high.

Re: Weather!

Feck*** hell! Will someone up there turn the radiator off! If this weather continues, I'll have to put ice in my Whisky...and this would be tragic!

It's not good for the courgettes either. You'll be getting mildew up your kilt.

Definitely too hot, but I'm happy anyway, it could have been much worse
