Will be glad for the cooler weather - then I might stop getting bitten by nasty flying things. I hate the little buggers, they're so small and light you don't know you've been bit until you start to itch.

It's still early September. You wait, come my birthday and like every year for the last .... years (this many???), it will be glorious sunshine again! And if not, a wee drop of something strong and amber and the world will be bright and golden again!

And you made that statement based on the first week.
An Indian summer is still possible and often happens in fact so the next three weeks could be absolutely glorious.

Most of the time the weather is beautiful on my birthday in early October.

I don't mind the rain at all,since i like all weathers, but the significant drop in temperature plays havoc with my 'inside piercings', ankle hurts like hell and feels frozen from the inside today, I hate that newfangled weather-sensitivy.

The leaves in the forest are starting to turn their colour to the lovely autumnal shades. Not long now and the region will indulge in the traditional weather menu of the season.....fog soup as entree...foggety fog with milky sauce and grey whatever as a side as main dish and creamy fog for dessert. Love it!
