It's snowing! Not much and not lying on the ground, but it's still the white stuff and not rain.

The sun is shining here which is somewhat unexpected to say the least.

Still overcast here, but snow stopped about 9am. Hubby says it's sunny in Lausanne now as well.

So this morning was the first this winter to uncover my car from about 15cm of beautiful powder-snow. First class, I must say!
Then make my way to the Brünig on snow covered streets. The Brünig pass was - unfortunately - already cleared of all snow and the street led me down into a grey, wet, unpleasant enviroment.
Ah well, I had a glimpse of how winter is supposed to be. And my hometown was happy enough about me returning to welcome me with a sunny hello.

It's snowing in Baden! Sadly it doesn't seem to be sticking.

A bunch of flat flakes in Basel, but they didn't last long and I can see blue sky now.

Biel-Bienne is getting a flurry of flakes to atm,I am glad it is not sticking.....yet..... gives Daughter2 more time to get a routine driving her car to work

We got a little last night, but mostly melted off now. Roofs are a bit white, but not really thickly covered. It is having another go though, very very small white balls trying to come down.

Basel's forecast for the rest of the week is to be cold, so hopefully the next snowfall (currently Wednesday) will stick around

Yeah, maybe some Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, but Friday's looking more likely for heavier fall here.

Finally, some beautiful, fluffy snowflakes! I'm not sure it will stick but I hope so. I love it when the trees look like they're dusted with icing sugar, and I can walk through the forest with snow crunching under my boots.

Drove back from Surrey on Monday with one night near Troyes. Horrendous journey due to tons of rain and violent side winds - a little snow here to welcome us- then 30cm overnight. Nothing much today but now snowing heavily again.

Jura ski resorts opening this week-end - including Les Rousses and Métabief.

Just woke up to a winter wonderland here in Lausanne. Snow all the way down to the lake at 300 meters, so everybody should be waking up to the same little bit of magic.

The snow plough went past here at around 5.30 so I’m guessing it’s snowed but I haven’t opened the blinds to look yet.
