Our neighbour has to leave for work at 7am normally- so not unusual to hear their snow blower clearing their garage around 6am. Fair enough.
Yeah, once one has realized it's been snowing it makes sense

Re: Weather!

We got a little snow last evening, but it had turned to rain by the time I went to bed. Still raining - weather forecast back on track.

Last nights snow is gone (except on the rooftops) but when I got home today, blooming yellow forsythia greeted me!

Re: Weather!

A bit murky and grey today - a little drizzle even, and much warmer.

Give bright sunny dry cold any day.

Yes, isn't it wonderful! Local snow has disappeared completely - not a single, solitary snow flake in sight. SHEER AND UTTER BLISS!

I'm not sure I agree, blooming bushes in December are a bit unsettling.
While I like being unvoncentional - how will I know I am if the environment doesn't give me a steady frame of comparison?

Re: Weather!

What a gorgeous day for the last day of the year. Lovely sunshine and quite warm. Sunset is glorious again, beautiful.

Forecast is back to rain/snow for the rest of the week, but at least we've ended 2017 with a wonderful sunny day.

Wind is really howling now, red wind weather warning.
Got so dark I have to turn our lights on.

Dogs will have to keep their legs crossed

It picked up here an‘ all, the trees along the train track are doing some kind of aerobics atm....We‘re lucky to have some waste land just over the road where we can take Lizzie to do her business. #countingmyblessings

I found this site that gives a pretty good indication of where the really strong winds are:

The builder's portaloo up the road has gone over. That'll be pleasant to right.

Ha, yeah, some love bad weather. Our cat in the US always liked to go out and sit on the front porch when there was a thunderstorm raging.

Windy most of the night and has gotten stronger since this morning. Keeping all shutters closed today so have to keep peeking out to see what the weather's doing besides blowing a gale.

My husband works near Bldg 1 (Roche) and said that a load of styrofoam went flying off one of the rooftop building sites. The (Roche) firefighters went up to secure whatever was left...

Re: Weather!

We've lost some roof ridge tiles.

Now I'm not really not convinced that the last company that took them off (two years ago) did a very good job as it's not amazingly windy here.

It's just starting pouring down with rain so that doesn't help either.
