It would have gone pretty quickly, if Basel's weather is any guide (which it isn't, it's always way nicer here than in Zurich). It will be 26° here on Thursday, apparently.
Yeah, a little birdie told me the English netball team will be in town to enjoy the sunshine.

So, in other words, you are clueless.

"Böögg explodiert nach 20 Minuten und 31 Sekunden"

Thus, we are due a mediocre summer.

At least in Zurich!

I groaned reading that one (not officially of course )

We're heading in my direction re weather.
I received my dark green sun shade an hour ago. I always wanted a dark green one and I'm as pleased about that thing as others would probably be about getting a porsch
It's cheap to keep me happy

Today's weather makes me even more look happily forward to a nice warm summer with weeks of temperatures way over 30.

And?

It´s 18 degrees outside, unless Zurich suddenly has a localised heat wave.

Enjoy it, it will go down in temperature next week anyway.

Tomorrow is the zurich marathon, that will be tough.
Last year , same date, we got -4.8 degree Celsisus at the airport.

Re: Fricken hot weather for april

If this already is way to warm for you than you picked the wrong place to move to. You might want to try moving to Kiruna or something similar, summers are pretty mild there.

Re: Fricken hot weather for april

This weather has made my hay fever (and my husband's) much worse this year. It's lovely and warm and sunny, but we are suffering.

It is quite early and already so hot...local urban training drafting day, we will sweat like crazy. Love the sunshine and birds.

Re: Fricken hot weather for april

I left the Grand Traverse Area in northwestern lower Michigan on Wednesday morning at -8°C with one foot of fresh snow from Monday and Tuesday. In the first half of April we had gotten more snow than in all January. Our place is roughly on the same latitude as Milano in Italy, mind you.

I arrived in Zurich on Thursday morning, where many people were wearing shorts, sandals and tank tops or T-shirts, and around noon there were 22°C. Although, of course, I had previously checked the weather forecast and knew what I was heading to, I simply had no space in my luggage to stow away my thick winter jacket. I felt pretty silly.

However, such temperatures are not unusual. In 2007, the first half of April was so-so, and then the afternoon temps went up to 25 - 30° for a full three weeks in a row, followed by another crappy period.

Last night, my OH called me from Michigan just to tell me that the snow was beginning to melt. I was like, "You don't say...."
