And in the French part they call it "Les saints de glace" (the Ice Saints)...although when younger my kids thought our neighbours rude for talking about "Les seins de glace" (The ice tits!). Funny they knew "tits" but not "saints" in French! Should have taken them to church more often, although not many saints to contemplate in the Protestant church!

Yep. One more day. And my plants and flowers are still standing strong.

But as far as I know they are tame this year, temperatures didn't go below zero the past two nights.

"One more day" - and there is hail in Basel

I just planted the last of the veggies in the garden earlier today. I hope that they don't mind getting *heavily* watered in!

I should have planted rice, since my garden will be nothing but standing water after all of this rain

My prayers have been answered.
Rain during business hours!
Oh! I'm dancing in the rain!
And the sun came out as I was on my way home.

When I look at the forecast you will be very unhappy - "they'll" tease us with a little sunshine tomorrow (while working ) and the following six days show rain, rain, rain.

Book a flight out today for Pentecost!

Okay, it's gotten bad now. Humming this while brushing my teeth .... out of the blue.

out of the blue might not be the correct phrasing though.

Edit: ca. 20C at the weekend so at least it will be warm rain

Yes, I always wanted one of these American porches. Would be wonderful to spend the week-end on it, watching the plants changing to jungle (which they are at my place, lovely).

Re: Weather!

I like the covered porch/patio area idea too. Would love to have one so I can be outside without being under a blazing sun at the same time. Or sit under cover on a warm summer's evening watching the rain gently falling. Cat/s (if/when we get another) would love it too.
