Re: Weather!

Seems some Australians did a little dance - and succeeded.

Woke up to - ongoing - thunder and lightning. That's just not natural - thunderstorms should happen at night.

Water, water, lots of water .... glad at least the English feel at home today.

Re: Weather!

Ah, today in Basel was lovely. Very dark, rumbles of thunder, pouring rain.... it was a good day.

Re: Weather!

Rain! Finally!!!!

And an evening rain, to pull the temps down and refresh the landscape. My garden will be very happy for this. The grass was getting crunchy and brown, too

This weather also helps my motivation to clean, too, so the apartment is looking better already

Not a drop fell here 22 kms east of Zurich - and according to the radar, we missed it - it looks all clear now...

At about 18:00 I counted about 10 drops on the trip between Buchs and Eglisau.

But from about 15:00 on it was pretty dark and looked like a proper thunderstorm coming... Kind of a PITA when you want to test some newly installed solar panels.

28C-just a pleasant day. But for the British anything over 25C is a heat wave

Re: Weather!

Well, I'm ready to slit my wrists - and it only hit 28 today.

The 16 day forecast is for temps into the 30s, dry as a bone. I am not a happy camper.

---

I envy those of you who love hot summers - for me, sunshine is physically painful. Knowing we are in for a long stretch of this, with no way to cool the house down, I feel the panic rising already.

---

Trots off, looking for real estate in Antartica. Oh wait, that's melting too.

Re: Weather!

Moderate heat stress warning out for us from this morning until around 9pm on Friday. Must make sure the ice cube stock is up to scratch. That reminds me - I need a cold drink.

Re: Weather!

The forecast is depressing I would be happier if there were even some clouds - the sun feels like it is searing my skin and I keep expecting blisters to form

And rain - we need a good, solid, soaking rain. A couple of them, in fact....

Wistful thinking....

I have to face Europa Park (family visit) on Thurs, predicted highs of 34!

Booked the dog in with the dog sitter for the day, can't put him through that.

Our offices have no aircon. There are 33 degrees forecast for the next few days. Many people like to open the windows regardless of the heat. Lord have mercy.

I suggest a visit to France - it's only next door - while you let us enjoy the lovely summer.
I heard Bavaria is to your liking too .... should you prefer the language there.
